All AEG PS Group's power control systems and modules are specifically adapted to the most widely used

and proven polysilicon production technology, the "Siemens" Process (see: “Risk Factors - Risks Related

to the Issuer and AEG PS Group - AEG PS Group could face a further decline for its products in demand

from the polysilicon manufacturing industry due to technology substitutions for the generation of solar

energy”).

Solar Solutions

AEG PS Group's products range with regard to the Solar Solutions sub-segment comprises:

 Solar Inverters: AEG PS Group expanded its product range in the Renewable Energy Solutions

segment by launching the Protect PV 250 solar inverter for utility scale photovoltaic systems in late

2009. By end of June 2010 orders totalling 40 MW had been booked for the PV 250. In addition,

AEG PS Group has introduced the PV 500 solar inverter in the second half of 2010. AEG PS Group

also markets string inverters for residential photovoltaic systems which it sources from a third party

supplier.

This product line converts DC energy generated by solar cells into AC energy for injection into the

grid. These systems are built to support solar facilities in all environments, ranging from remote loca-

tions to densely populated areas, and offer high reliability, low maintenance, DC voltages of up to

1000 Vdc and modularity. The solar inverters can be adapted to the LV (400Vac) or MV (10, 20,

33kV) grid. Solar inverters are monitored based on current protocols and advanced communication

offering string monitoring, failure analysis, regular reporting and performance statistics.

 Electrical BOS: AEG PS Group also provides full electrical Balance of Systems ("BOS") solutions

which basically comprise all components of a photovoltaic system, except for the photovoltaic mod-

ules and the rack. These include inverters, transformer, MV (medium voltage) switch gears, LV (low

voltage)/MV transformers and width gears, customized containers as well as the complete monitoring

and supervision system. Everything in these BOS is customized for each application and country.

 Turn-Key Solar Solutions: In addition, AEG PS Group provides Turn-Key Solar Solutions by de-

signing and installing complete photovoltaic systems for its customers. Turn-key solutions for photo-

voltaic projects include power need and environmental constraints analysis, site surveys, design, en-

gineering, documentation, installation, inspection and maintenance of PV installations.

 Services: The Renewable Energy Solutions segment offers, through its global service network, on-

site and in-factory repair and commissioning services, monitoring and supervision as well as on-

going maintenance services for PV installations. Through service packages, AEG PS Group opti-

mises photovoltaic systems to keep them operating at peak performance. The service comprises 24/7

technical support and on-site maintenance through qualified specialists aiming at increased life ex-

pectancy of the photovoltaic system and its individual components.

Monitoring and Control Systems

Through its recent acquisition of a majority stake in skytron energy GmbH, Berlin, AEG PS Group pro-

vides metering, monitoring and supervision solutions to companies in engineering, procurement and con-

struction, as well as to independent PV power producers (see: “Description of the Issuer - Business of the

Issuer -Investments”).
